JUDE BELLINGHAM’S £40 MILLION GOAL
Off the back of Jude Bellingham’s exceptional 95th minute overhead kick goal, British pubs will see a staggering 8 million additional pints sold.
Off the back of Jude Bellingham’s exceptional 95th minute overhead kick goal, British pubs will see a staggering 8 million additional pints sold.
Those 8 million pints equate to nearly £40million in revenue for pubs across the country.
As the Lions scrambled through to the quarter finals, the price tag on Bellingham’s right boot could balloon even further.
This boost comes despite British beer lovers paying six times the duty on their pints compared to the Slovaks, and four times as much as the Swiss who England face on Saturday in Dusseldorf.
Emma McClarkin, CEO of the British Beer and Pub Association said:
“Jude Bellingham's goal was crucial in carrying England through to the quarter finals and with up to 8 million extra pints expected to be sold while fans cheer on the lions this Saturday, that goal will be worth a crucial £40million to the British beer and pub sector.
There’s no better place to watch the football, except maybe Dusseldorf, so if you’re not in Germany, back the boys by getting down to your local.”
